MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 23, 2005 – DuPont Crop Protection recently announced good news for potato, tomato, vegetable and apple growers: the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration of DuPont™ Manzate® Pro-Stick™ fungicide in 33 states. “Mancozeb is the ‘back bone’ to a grower’s fungicide program. However, Manzate® Pro-Stick™ brings a little something more to the table: This new formulation delivers outstanding rainfastness. “It also dissolves quickly, mixing instantly with water and staying suspended longer thanks to the small and uniform particle size,” says Frederic Beudot, DuPont product manager. “The smaller particle size also creates less filter clogging than other competing formulations.” Manzate® Pro-Stick™ delivers the same performance as Manzate® 75DF in a new formulation that sticks to the crop, rain or shine. With it comes improved rainfastness, superior disease control and ease-of-use (increased suspensibility and a non-clogging formulation). Manzate® Pro-Stick™ is also an ideal tank mix partner for controlling a very broad range of diseases in crops like potatoes, tomatoes, apples, vegetables and many others. “Manzate® is a cornerstone product for potato and tomato growers. However, growers asked for the added rainfast boost, and DuPont delivered,” says Beudot. “Manzate® Pro-Stick™ also helps solve clogging and foaming issues, making ground and aerial application easier – allowing for less time spent cleaning and more time spent spraying.” Growers can now rest assured. Manzate® Pro-Stick™ fungicide
will continue to work, even through the rain, to provide improved spray
performance and crop coverage. # # # For additional information about our company or our products, check our worldwide Web site: http://www.cropprotection.dupont.com
