Background

Creazioni Digitali, a third party printer, was founded in 2006 by Roberto Lucini, located in Lurate Caccivio in the important textile district of Como. The company is mainly working in the world of fashion, furnishing, textile curtains and deco and is specialized on eco-friendly digital printing. Creazioni Digitali employs a team of about 50 people, which is continuously growing and focusing on developing new innovative print technology targeted on pre-print and finishing processes, all in-house. The creative technical office, which consists of about 10 employees, is responsible of developing the technical drawings, their modifications as well as customized projects. A technical laboratory for analyzing textiles and a warehouse with integrated quality inspection complete the well situated company. 

Challenge

One of the main goals of the company is to develop ecofriendly printing processes. Here, sustainability is not an abstract value, but gets addressed actively. It is the key target of Creazioni Digitali to limit the environmental impact in the textile production to a minimum, while reaching an optimum in production.

Solution

Creazioni Digitali and DuPont collaborated to test and optimize the printing process and quality of the printed fabric. Artistri® P2700 was selected, which is an innovative digital textile premium pigment ink formulated for midviscosity printheads, offering best-in-class color with deep, rich black and outstanding color saturation. Due to the ink formulation, it delivers the quality needed for textile printers in home, furnishings and apparel applications.
