Richard C. Olson


Senior Vice President – DuPont Corporate Services

Richard C. Olson is senior vice president of DuPont Corporate Services. Mr. Olson joined DuPont as a process engineer in 1978.

He has served in a broad range of businesses, marketing and manufacturing management assignments. Mr. Olson lived in Taipei, Taiwan, from 1996 to 1999, serving first as president, DuPont Taiwan, and subsequently as managing director, TiO2 for Asia Pacific. From 1999 to early 2001, he served as director of eVentures with responsibility to design, form and manage numerous equity investments in electronic commerce marketplaces for DuPont.  He was named vice president and general manager of DuPont Surfaces in March 2003, responsible for the DuPont™ Corian® and Zodiaq® businesses. In October 2005 he was named vice president and general manager of DuPont Titanium Technologies. In October 2009 he was named president of DuPont Titanium Technologies. He was named senior vice president of DuPont Corporate Productivity in January 2011. He was named to his present position on Jan. 1, 2016.

Mr. Olson was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978 with a degree in chemical engineering, and completed the Sloan Fellowship at the Sloan Management School, receiving a master's degree in 1993.
