Shelley Stewart, Jr. is vice president of DuPont Sourcing & Logistics and chief procurement officer, where he leads global procurement and logistics activities totaling $20 billion. He joined DuPont in July 2012 in Wilmington, Del. In January 2016, he assumed the responsibility for Facilities Services & Real Estate.
Prior to joining DuPont, he was senior vice president of operational excellence and chief procurement officer at Tyco, senior vice president of supply chain at Invensys, and vice president of supply chain with Raytheon, after spending 18 years with United Technologies where he held various senior level operations and supply chain roles.
Mr. Stewart is on the board of directors of Cleco Corporation where he leads the Nominating and Governance Committee and was appointed to the U.S. Department of Commerce National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise. He is chair of the board of visitors at Howard University’s School of Business, vice chair of the NMSDC, a member of the Northeastern University Corporation and recently joined the Advisory Board of the Drexel University Center for Corporate Governance.
Mr. Stewart holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven and both a bachelor’s and master’s degree of science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University. He is co-author of “Straight To The Bottom Line™: An Executive’s Roadmap to World Class Supply Management,” (J.Ross Publishing).
