Juan Manuel Vaquer


President, DuPont Latin America and Associate General Counsel

Juan Manuel Vaquer is president of DuPont Latin America and associate general counsel.

He joined DuPont Argentina as a lawyer in 1990. In 1995 he was transferred to Geneva, Switzerland, where he worked as European counsel.

Upon his return to Latin America in 1998, he was named president of DuPont Chile. Later on he assumed different positions, such as Legal director for South America (2002); Legal vice president of Latin America (2003), and president of DuPont Southern Cone (2008). He was named to his current position in October 2015.

From 2013 to 2016 he was president of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham Argentina). He was also a member of the executive committee of IDEA (Institute for Business Development in Argentina), and of CEADS (Argentine Business Council for Sustainable Development). In 2017 he was nominated president of ACDE (the Argentinian Association of Christian Business Leaders).

He graduated as a lawyer from the Buenos Aires University and holds a Master’s degree on International and Comparative Law from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
