DuPont Filaments to Raise EU Monofilament Prices Landgraaf, The Netherlands, Aug. 11, 2005 – DuPont Filaments – Europe, BV today announced that it will implement price increases for their nylon 612, nylon 610 and polyester monofilaments effective Sept. 1. The increases range from 3 to 8 percent for widely used grades; higher percentages may apply to some specialty products. Rising costs of raw materials and energy are driving this increase of DuPont Filaments' prices. DuPont Filaments remains very committed to this business. These price increases enable DuPont Filaments to remain a sustainable supplier in the future. The increases apply to all market segments and all brands of filaments. They cover DuPont™ Tynex® filaments for toothbrushes, paintbrushes and cosmetic brushes, DuPont™ Chinex® and DuPont™ Orel® filaments for paintbrushes and DuPont™ Tynex® A abrasive filaments for industrial finishing and floor cleaning.
