This state-of-the-art, extremely reliable, wiring harness is the culmination of an initiative by two industry leaders: DuPont High Performance Materials and its HT Racing automotive development program, and Barcel-CDT.

Barcel Wire and Cable Corporation has been recognized as a wire and cable industry leader for more than 25 years. The company's Thermal-Flite® group created special wiring-built to aerospace standards-for the harness, using DuPont's proprietary high performance insulating materials.

Painless Wiring, the number one manufacturer of wiring harness assemblies for the do-it-yourself installer, designed and assembled the harness for a professional result. The company's complete product makes electrical components installation easy and "painless" by using its own Extreme® components.

Advantages

The new wiring harness will not burn or smoke and is impervious to all automotive fluids. The base dielectric possesses a high-temperature, zero-strength rating over 427°C (800°F). Long-term, high-temperature tests performed by DuPont's Automotive group show the wiring retains elongation properties with no signs of cracking due to extreme heat stress.

The harness is easy to install, offers twice the space savings of conventional wiring constructions and weighs nearly 10% less-features critically important to the auto racing industry.

Several teams at NASCAR's Busch Grand Nationals, Super Truck, and the Winston Cup series will use the wiring harness.
