are stronger than paper and less expensive and more versatile than fabrics.
Made from high density polyethylene fibers, Tyvek®
is an extremely versatile material, offering a balance of physical characteristics
that combine some of the properties of film, paper and cloth.
DuPont Tyvek® is strong, lightweight, flexible, smooth,
low linting, opaque and resistant to water, chemicals, abrasion and aging.
Its unique combination of properties makes Tyvek® ideal
for a broad range of applications from protective apparel, envelopes, sterile
packaging, signs and banners, tags to energy saving housewrap.
DuPont Tyvek®; can be recycled and DuPont has been
recycling Tyvek® for the past 20 years. Tyvek®
is 100% high density polyethylene (HDPE) and therefore readily recycled
with HDPE waste streams. |
