The Carlos Perez Perasso Bridge, over the Rio Daule in Ecuador, links the port city of Guayaquil with historic Samborondón. Guayaquil is Ecuador's largest city and a growing tropical eco-tourism destination, serving as a gateway to the Galapagos.
The 1,030-meter bridge handles an estimated 70,000 vehicles per day. A 4-km road surface, including the bridge, was paved by contractor Andrade Gutierrez, using bitumen modified with Elvaloy® RET.
