Sustainable Flooring Products

DuPont flooring products reflect a vision shared with the world architectural community. It’s a vision of a future where building materials and practices become ever more environmentally responsible.

Recent innovations include DuPont™ Sorona®. Renewably Sourced™ Sorona® is made in part from plant-based content and the manufacture of Sorona® consumes less energy and results in fewer greenhouse gas emissions than the production of nylon 6 or nylon 6,6. Carpeting realized in Sorona® helps architects pursue LEED® certification points for their projects without sacrificing aesthetics or performance characteristics like stain resistance and durability.

DuPont™ Real Touch® Laminate Flooring affords architects and interior designers the beauty of traditional materials such as hardwood, stone, ceramic, and slate combined with the durability of laminate. And Real Touch® Laminate Flooring is GREENGUARD® Indoor Air Quality Certified®, helping builders and architects reduce indoor air pollution and protect occupants’ health from chemical emissions.
