Increase Productivity of Young Citrus Trees

Phil Stansly describes Verimark™ insect control trials giving trees a strong start.

The future of a citrus grove depends on getting young citrus trees off to a good start, says Phil Stansly, an entomologist with the University of Florida. Protecting them from Asian citrus psyllid and other damaging pests is key to their future productivity.

Stansly describes results of trials with Verimark™ insect control and the benefits seen in young citrus trees. Over three years of trials, Verimark™ helped reduce psyllid populations and lowered Huanglongbing (HLB) or greening disease incidence by half, Stansly reports.

The EPA registered label contains the statement, “This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds.
