Proper Herbicide Application Timing Improves Weed Control

The right herbicide application timing means applying before weeds are 4 inches tall.

Herbicides are most effective when weeds are small and actively growing. Determine herbicide application timing based on weed size and crop growth stage.

Application Timing

Proper application timing means applying FeXapan™ herbicide Plus VaporGrip® Technology before weeds are 4 inches tall for best control. Do not apply later than R1, regardless of weed height.

When applying FeXapan herbicide Plus VaporGrip® Technology, target weeds that are 4 inches in height or less to improve spray coverage and control.

FeXapan™ can be applied through the R1 growth stage in soybeans.  Preferred application timing is pre-emergence through the V2 growth stage.

  • Check your state specific requirements.  They may include a more restrictive growth stage window and/or defined calendar dates for the allowed applications.

Follow FeXapan best practices and stewardship guidelines for effective weed control and to minimize risk of off-target herbicide movement.
