Automotive hoses with DuPont™ Kevlar® K29 AP have up to a 15% increase in tenacity, enabling greater hose burst pressure and better performance than standard Kevlar® K29.
This helps hose manufacturers to either achieve improved performance with existing hose designs, or use less material and maintain performance levels in applications currently using standard-tenacity yarn.
The significant reduction in yarn consumption enabled by Kevlar® K29 AP helps provide the potential for cost savings without the loss of tube-to-cover layer adhesion strength.
