DuPont™ Kevlar® Glove Innovation Awards

The DuPont™ Kevlar® Innovation Award recognizes excellence in innovation and design of protective gloves made with DuPont™ Kevlar®.   It gives innovators the opportunity to showcase the incredible things they do with Kevlar® in order to make our world a safer place.  Winning designs are unique or groundbreaking in their approach and challenge the boundaries of conventional cut protection. In October 2016, we  announced our third annual Innovation Award winners during the National Safety Council Conference in Anaheim, CA. 

2016: Youngstown Glove Safety Lime Hybrid Lined with Kevlar®

This glove features a Hi Viz Safety Lime stretch poly top of hand and a durable goat-skin palm. Reflective logos and fingertips add to the safety features. On the inside, the glove is lined entirely with Kevlar® fiber for added cut protection.

2016: Protective Industrial Products G-Tek Kev 09-K1600

This high cut ANSI A7, 13-gauge glove features a traditional DuPont™ Kevlar® gold liner with black nitrile palm that provides excellent grip in wet and dry applications. Made with Kevlar® Ultra technology it is touch screen compatible.

2016: Superior Glove Contender™ Cut-Resistant Kevlar® Blend

This 7-gauge glove was specifically designed for the demanding requirements of automotive assembly and metal fabrication plants. The glove is 50% Kevlar® and an incorporation of Spandex in the design allows for a surprising level of dexterity in such a heavy-duty glove.

2016: MCR Safety Memphis Ninja N9878BNF

The Memphis Ninja N9878BNF is constructed with Kevlar® Ultra Technology. This 18 gauge shell is engineered with black Kevlar® fiber and stainless steel to provide sensitivity to touch with ANSI A3 Level cut protection.

This ANSI A4 13-gauge glove features a Hi-Vis Red DuPont™ Kevlar® liner with black nitrile palm that provides excellent grip in wet and dry applications. Touch Screen Compatibility. Made with Kevlar® Armor Technology.

2016: Superior Glove Endura® Deluxe Cut-Resistant Welding

This deluxe, tan-colored welding glove features select side-split cowhide for comfortable yet rugged service. Kevlar® stitching throughout and a Kevlar® composite filament fiber blend used in this glove provides ANSI level-A5 cut protection.

2015: Ansell HyFlex® 11-541

The Ansell HyFlex® 11-541 ultralight weight glove leverages new patented Kevlar® technology to provide outstanding cut resistance, dexterity, and grip. This ANSI cut level 4, 18 gauge glove is a great alternative to heavier gloves, and has a sleek dark gray exterior that’s perfect for hiding stains.

2015: MCR Safety Memphis Orange 9178NFO

This bright orange glove is made with patented Hi Visibility Kevlar® Engineered yarn. It’s lightweight and comfortable, offers great dexterity, and provides high cut protection with an ANSI cut level 4. Hi-vis enables safety managers to know that their employees are wearing their PPE.

2015: Superior Glove Works Contender™ SBKG

This is not your standard heavyweight knit. A unique spinning process helps cut and abrasion resistance remain consistent across the surface, and the flame resistance of Kevlar® enables the gloves to be used around heat and sparks.

2015: Youngstown Glove Company FR Emergency Gas Glove 12-3390-60

The first heat and flame resistant glove designed specifically for use in emergency gas situations features an extended gauntlet cuff that fits over FR suits to ensure total hand, wrist and forearm safety. The innermost liner is made of 100% Kevlar® which offers protection and comfort.

Black 13 gauge, Kevlar®/Synthetic shell with Black Nitrile Foam coated palm and fingertips. Kevlar® 1500 gram protection, CPPT level 4 performance, CE 4542. Provides greater dexterity and sense of touch with foam nitrile to enhance grip and wear.

2014: Youngstown Glove Company FR Waterproof Ultimate Lined with Kevlar®

Youngstown's FR Waterproof Ultimate lined with Kevlar® is a winterized, waterproof leather glove designed to provide FR protection and warmth in extreme cold and wet conditions. This glove is made with FR materials combined in a 4 layer system comprising FR cowhide leather, insulation made of FR DuPont™ Nomex®, a waterproof membrane, and a cut resistant liner made with Kevlar® fiber.

The Ansell 46-111 is an ANSI 4, 70E level 2 glove using embossed leather on the palm and back hand to add impact protection to this comfortable, lightweight glove. The 46-111 addresses the key market need of cut and flame resistance in the oil and gas and utility market using an engineered yarn containing Kevlar®.
