DuPont Digital Printing Introduces New Artistri® Brite Digital Textile Inks
WILMINGTON, Del., Oct. 20, 2014 – DuPont Digital Printing (DuPont) today introduced new DuPont™ Artistri® Brite digital textile inks, designed to deliver a step change in color saturation and speed for advanced direct to garment (DTG) printing. Artistri® Brite inks have been fully tested for high-production print shops using next generation DTG digital print systems from leading manufacturers, including Belquette, Inc. and M&R, who will be featuring the new ink at the upcoming SGIA Expo.
“Top-quality results in record time is what our customers are asking for, and Artistri® Brite inks have clearly demonstrated these advantages plus superior compatibility with new, leading-edge digital printing equipment,” said Ted Zhi, textile market segment leader, DuPont Digital Printing. “We’re very excited to offer this breakthrough ink technology to help our customers succeed.”
DuPont™ Artistri® Brite digital inks offer a visible difference in quality, with up to 40 percent color improvement compared to previous generation direct to garment inks. Manufactured in a DuPont ISO 9001 certified facility in Ft. Madison, Iowa, DuPont produces and tests every batch of Artistri® Brite ink to an extremely tight tolerance, which helps ensure its exceptional color saturation is repeatable, day to day, month to month and year to year.
Artistri® Brite inks provide a significantly streamlined workflow compared to current DTG digital printing methods, and are the first inks that provide support for new generation printers that print up to three times faster than current technology. Artistri® Brite inks also can be cured in automated gas convection ovens, eliminating the need for manual hand presses that monopolize operator time and productivity.
In addition, the new inks exhibit ease of use and jettability that results in fewer mechanical defects. Because the pH balance of the formulation minimizes print head issues such as clogging, it is a more consistent solution long term.
Leading DTG printer manufacturers Belquette, Inc. (booth #2385) and M&R (booth #3335) will be featuring new printing systems running live with the new DuPont™ Artistri® Brite digital inks at the upcoming SGIA Expo, from Oct. 22 – 24 in Las Vegas, Nev.
DuPont Digital Printing business is a leader in the home and office inkjet markets and in textile printing. DuPont™ Artistri® and new Artistri® Brite digital textile inks combine DuPont proprietary pigment dispersion, polymer and ink formulation technology. Because they are formulated with the same dyes and pigments used in conventional textile printing, Artistri® inks offer superior results for digital textile printing – brilliant colors, excellent fastness properties, and robust print reliability.
