Yingli Solar’s Largest Project Is Powered by California Sunshine

The Centinela project’s YGE-U 72 Cell Series modules contain DuPont™ Tedlar® PVF film-based backsheets to ensure superior all-weather performance and long-term durability.

The 200 MW Centinela Solar Energy Facility, the largest project in Yingli’s history, covers over 1,600 acres of desert terrain in southern California’s Imperial County. It consists of approximately 700,000 large-format YGE-U Series modules, which are fully compatible with most tracking and mounting systems. Specifically engineered for large-scale applications, the modules’ highly durable and weather-resistant backsheets contain DuPont™ Tedlar® PVF film. Given this facility’s size and significance, it was imperative to Fluor Corporation, the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) provider, to be able to guarantee system performance.
