Ph.D. Biography, Head of DuPont Silicon Valley Technology Center
Dr. Homer Antoniadis brings decades of experience as a visionary in photovoltaics, OLED lighting and displays, and consumer electronics.
He is currently heading the DuPont Silicon Valley Technology Center, focusing on the development of innovations in flexible and wearable electronics. Before this position, he served as the CTO for the DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions group, an organization that delivers unparalleled next-generation solutions within the fast-moving solar energy market.
Dr. Antoniadis joined DuPont in 2011 with the acquisition of Innovalight, where he was Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. Prior to Innovalight, his 20-year career included positions with Osram Opto Semiconductors, Hewlett-Packard Labs, and Xerox.
Widely recognized as an authority in the PV field, Dr. Antoniadis is often featured as lecturer and conference chair at leading industry events. He served on boards of the International Photovoltaic Quality Assurance Task Force, and PV Cell Tech Conference. In 2016, he was appointed to the National Research Energy Laboratory External Advisory Council and in March 2017 he was awarded the title of NextFlex Fellow.
Dr. Antoniadis has more than 70 publications in crystalline and amorphous silicon photovoltaics, OLEDs, and polymer materials as well as 30 issued U.S. patents.
A native of Greece, he received his B.S. in Physics from Ioannina University in Greece and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Syracuse University.
