Laminated glass cabinets and 'portholes' display ancient Greek archeological treasures at Athens Underground

Laminated glass cabinets and 'portholes' are used to display ancient Greek archeological treasures and tombs unearthed while the Athens Underground was being excavated. Architects Georgios and Efterpi Passisi used more than 300 m2 of bullet-resistant grade, laminated glass with DuPont Butacite® PVB interlayer to exhibit the ancient relics securely and with stunning effect in three stations – Syntagma Square, Evangelismos and Akademias. The laminator for the project, completed in January 2000, was Pap Safety Glass SA of Thessaloniki. The construction company was Attiko Metro SA of Athens.
