Rem Koolhaas

Rem Koolhaas: "a prophet of new modern architecture"

Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas is the winner of the 2000 Pritzker Prize, architecture's highest honor. The Pritzker jury called him "a prophet of modern architecture" and cited his "creative talent to confront seemingly insoluble or constrictive problems with brilliant and original solutions" – many of which feature the innovative use of laminated glass.
