Element Type

Specifying element type is the same for CCRO as with traditional RO design. One can specify the element to be used as well as the number of pressure vessels and the number of elements per pressure vessel.

Select the dropdown box under “Element Type”
Select the appropriate element (See Figure 1)
Update the number of pressure vessels and the number of elements per pressure vessel for each stage

Currently, CCRO system design in WAVE is limited to 8” elements. There are currently five (5) different FilmTec™ SOAR elements available for CCRO designs:

FilmTec™ SOAR 3000
FilmTec™ SOAR 4000
FilmTec™ SOAR 5000
FilmTec™ SOAR 6000
FilmTec™ SOAR 7000

The default membranes are SOAR-5000. The elements are in order of rejection, 3000 being the lowest, 7000 the highest. The default number of elements per pressure vessel is five (5), installed in a six (6) element long pressure vessel. The spacer is added to increase flexibility (increasing CC duration to run at lower recoveries).
