Making plant-based products taste as juicy and substantial as a hamburger is no easy feat. Our DuPont™ Danisco® range includes over a dozen ingredients to create tasty meat alternatives – including plant-based protein options for beef, chicken, pork, or seafood, and a robust selection of plant-based binding and structural ingredients that can help to solve stability and shelf life issues. Within this new portfolio, DuPont™ Danisco® VEGE cultures work for a wide variety of plant-based raw food materials, such as soy, peas, coconut, almond, nuts, oat, maize, rice, fruits and vegetables, to satisfy consumer taste and texture expectations in meat alternative products such as non-meat burgers, nuggets, hot dogs and other products.

We’ve expanded our VEGE range to include additional health benefits from our DuPont™ HOWARU® probiotics. The VEGE line helps our customers create plant-based meat alternatives to commonly enjoyed foods. New additions to the VEGE range include HOWARU® Dophilus VG, which contains Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM® and HOWARU Bifido VG, which contains Bifidobacterium lactis HN019™ – both of which have highly documented, positive results in human studies for digestive health and overall well-being.
