Enhancing battery safety and performance

The use of DuPont™ Kevlar® MicroCore™ in the battery separator can help enable improved safety of specialty batteries by helping to prevent thermal runaway, the biggest safety issue for lithium ion batteries. This may be possible due to the high-temperature-resistant, superfine fiber structure and unique combination of properties of Kevlar® MicroCore™.
