Fostering a Circular Economy

Plastic is an important material to our way of life, but plastic waste in the environment continues to be a challenge. We are working in partnership with the value chain to improve how plastics are made, used, and recycled as we transition to a circular economy.

Our innovation teams are focusing on sustainable material and circularity. By 2030, we aim to have significantly extended our portfolio of products with bio-based and recycled materials. And it is important that we continue to partner with others to explore the reuse and recycling of our materials at the end of their life.

Our activities to foster a circular economy include:

• Moving from fossil-based to renewable feedstock and increase share-of-product sales with bio-based/recycled material
• Integrating circular thinking into product design and operation, including our commitment to Operation Clean Sweep^® Blue to prevent plastic pellets from entering the environment
• Partnering to transition to a circular economy by exploring the reuse and recycling of our materials at the end of their life
