DuPont Collaborates with Industry Pioneers to Showcase Advanced Wearable Electronics

Demos to Feature DuPont’s Seamless Solution for Comfortable Smart Clothing and More

Tokyo, Japan, Jan. 18, 2017 – DuPont Advanced Materials (DuPont) will feature its innovative suite of stretchable electronic inks for wearable electronics and showcase a number of industry collaborations at the upcoming Wearable Expo Japan. With deep collaborations with industry value chain partners, DuPont will exhibit at the Wearable Expo, Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, featuring various advanced wearable applications in sports and safety at booth No. W20-13 from Jan. 18-20.

Now, with IOT (Internet of Things) penetrating both our workplace and life at home, DuPont once again has taken the lead in bringing electrical printing solutions to enable the digitization of textiles and more.

Through integration efforts by DuPont, five pioneers from the industry value chain include R&D organization, Holst Centre, printing manufacture, GM Nameplate and apparel tech manufacturer, MAS Holdings, then innovative brands, FeetMe and Body+ will jointly exhibit various advanced wearables applications that use DuPont stretchable electronics inks in garments, insoles and other novel applications at the upcoming Wearable Expo.

The function of smart clothing ranges from vital signal collection such as heart rate, breathing activities and body temperature, athlete training and rehabilitation by real time feedback, as well as illuminated and heated garment for high risk working environments.” said Tseng. 

DuPont will exhibit products that incorporate its stretchable electronic ink materials during 3rd Wearable Expo, 2017, Jan. 18-20 in Tokyo, Japan. The exhibits include,     

  • Sports Bra and Fitness Shirt from Body+
  • Medical and Sports Insole from FeetMe
  • Printing Flexible Electronics Circuitry onto Flexible and Stretchable Materials for Wearable Products from GM Nameplate
  • Sportswear Tracking Heart and Breathing Activity from Holst Centre
  • Active Wear and Safety Jacket from MAS
