In partnership with Moser Baer, DuPont helped design solar panels that provide reliable solar power to remote villages in northern India. Up until 2012, the Ladakh region of northern India received limited electricity from diesel generators. DuPont and Moser Baer developed solar panels that supplied this Himalayan region with reliable solar power for the first time in history. The Moser Baer panels were made using DuPont™ Solamet® photovaltic metalization pastes, that help increase the efficiency of solar electricity, lower costs and reduce the number of panels, while DuPont™ Tedlar® polyvinyl flouride (PVF) film offers improved life span and durability.
