Polyvinyl Fluoride Films (PVF)

Proven Performance with DuPont™ Tedlar® Polyvinyl Fluoride Film

Tedlar® is the only polyvinyl fluoride film with decades of proven field performance, starting with building protection and more recently enabling long-term reliable photovoltaic module power output, reducing the world’s dependence on fossil fuels.

DuPont invented the polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) polymer in the 1940s and by the 1950s began developing products based on the material.  In 1961, DuPont registered the Tedlar® brand name in the US and construction started on its first production facility.  More than fifty years later, Tedlar® film is recognized as the high-performance standard in the range of industries it serves with proven durability in harsh operating environments.
