MOLYKOTE® Specialty Lubricants Engineer Recognized for Significant Work in Grease Industry 

Chad Chichester receives NLGI Fellows Award for continued professional contributions

WILMINGTON, Del., June 14, 2022 – DuPont (NYSE:DD) has announced that MOLYKOTE^® Specialty Lubricants Application Engineer Chad Chichester has been honored by lubrication industry organization NLGI for the third consecutive year.

For 2022, Chichester has received the prestigious NLGI Fellows Award, which honors significant and continuing work within the grease industry. The award was created to acknowledge valuable contributions to NLGI, to the technical development of grease technologies or tests, and to the promotion of grease usage. Fellows Award winners typically are individuals who have 10 or more years of significant contributions to the grease industry and are past recipients of other NLGI honors.

In his role as a MOLYKOTE^® application engineer, Chichester has provided engineering and design support to lubricant end-users in industrial equipment maintenance and reliability, the oil and gas industry, and the automotive industry.

Chichester received the 2021 NLGI Golden Grease Gun Award for industry service. In 2020, he received NLGI’s John A. Bellanti Sr. Memorial Award, which acknowledges meritorious service on the NLGI board, on technical committee projects or to the industry. In addition, Chichester received NLGI’s Award for Education Excellence in 2007 as a top instructor of the organization’s Basic Grease, Advanced Grease, and Overall Application and Maintenance courses.

Currently, Chichester is on NLGI’s Executive Committee as an academic co-chair, is a member of the NLGI Board of Directors and has chaired numerous NLGI committees. In addition, he has served as Condition Monitoring Technology Committee chair and instructed the Synthetic Lubricants and Condition Monitoring courses for the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE).

“I’m honored that NLGI has recognized my efforts to develop and share grease technology,” Chichester said. “There are many contributors across grease manufacturers, distributors and industry groups who work hard to promote tribological science, and I am humbled to receive the Fellows Award in recognition of my role in that work.”
