New Encyclopedia of Tribology and Lubrication released

The first edition of the Encyclopedia of Tribology and Lubrication, published by Elsevier, features a contribution from MOLYKOTE® Senior Research Investigator Melissa Mushrush, Ph.D. 

For the encyclopedia’s section on surface engineering, Melissa Mushrush and collaborator Simon Tung co-authored a chapter titled “Tribology applications of surface coatings and surface-textured materials.” 

According to Elsevier, the Encyclopedia of Tribology and Lubrication is a structured resource that “guides users through proven strategies to reduce erosion friction, abrasion wear and surface damage while also providing fundamental principles that underlie problems and mitigation.” Edited by Jun Qu and Stefanie Hanke, the three-volume set “covers materials, lubricants and surface engineering treatments, along with the numerous choices and challenges that practicing engineers face.”
