As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we are excited to announce that as of late last year, the packaging for our DuPont™ Tyvek®, Tychem®, and ProShield® garments contains a minimum of 50% of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content. We have started the implementation with selected models and will gradually expand it to more models throughout 2024.

The packaging for DuPont Tyvek®, Tychem® and ProShield® garments contains a minimum of 50% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) content as of end of 2023. PCR content will be gradually available in printed bags starting with some models and the transition will continue with more models through 2024.

Why?

Some EU countries have already implemented new packaging regulations with the aim to reduce the usage of first grade polymers and enforce the PCR raw materials.

While these regulations are currently country specific, DuPont is proactively working on the application of PCR content for packaging of the chemical protective clothing range.

First products with PCR content packaging are already available in the market as of end of 2023.

From product development and manufacturing to packaging, distribution and marketing, we are focused on continuous innovation to advance sustainability along the value chain.

With this initiative and in line with our Sustainability Goals, DuPont Personal Protection contributes to the reduction of indirect GHG (Green House Gases) emissions. By purchasing these coveralls manufactured by DuPont, you will also indirectly reduce usage of virgin grade LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) in packaging and help protecting the environment.

Additionally, we are eliminating transparent outer bags used in Tychem® garment packaging which will also allow the reduction of virgin PE bags consumption.
