As Chief Technology Officer, Marty leads DuPont’s innovation and sustainability strategy across a portfolio of market-leading, high-growth businesses. He oversees global teams that deliver advanced solutions for aerospace, transportation, healthcare, water technologies, and other critical applications.
Prior to being named to his current role in 2025, Marty served as Technology Director for DuPont Industrial Solutions, where he led innovation strategy across a broad portfolio of highly technical applications. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade advancing technologies in catalysis, solar cells and modules, and semiconductor materials. He brings more than 20 years of experience in industrial materials innovation and product development and is widely recognized for his leadership in shaping DuPont’s research and development strategy and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Marty holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Western Ontario. He has been granted more than 30 U.S. patents, has appeared in over 25 scientific publications, and was recognized with the American Chemical Society’s Heroes of Chemistry Award for his contributions to product development in Chemical Mechanical Planarization. Marty also serves on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Delaware, Hagley Museum and Library and The Innovation Space.
