Matt Abbott

Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer, Matt leads DuPont’s global Information Technology and Procurement organizations. He’s responsible for modernizing core platforms, strengthening digital and data capabilities, and enabling business growth through AI. Based in Wilmington, Delaware, he joined the company in 2025.

Prior to joining DuPont, Matt spent eight years at The Chemours Company, where he held a series of senior leadership roles spanning enterprise transformation, digital and data analytics, finance, and internal audit. His positions included Chief Enterprise Transformation Officer, Interim Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Digital and Data Analytics, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller, and Chief Audit Executive. In these roles, he led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making and drive sustainable performance. Earlier in his career, Matt spent nearly 20 years at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), including five years as a partner, advising industrial products and technology companies on financial reporting, internal controls, governance, and complex accounting matters, including mergers and acquisitions.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Sciences from Warwick Business School in the United Kingdom. He has also completed executive education programs at The Wharton School, Harvard Business School, and Cornell University, with a focus on data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Matt is a Certified Public Accountant in Delaware and Pennsylvania and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
