Dow Honored by Nation's Largest Privately Held Homebuilder Receiving the Prestigious "A,A Partners of Choice" Award for 14th

The rigorous Supplier Evaluation Platform shared with more than 1,000 raters highlights Dow’s unwavering commitment to quality and service

MIDLAND, Mich - June 28, 2018 - Dow Performance Building Solutions, a global business unit of DowDuPont Specialty Products division, remains the only recipient of the homebuilding industry’s gold standard for recognizing world-class performance, the "A,A Partners of Choice" Award from David Weekley Homes for fourteen consecutive years, the longest streak of more than 200 participating companies. David Weekley Homes, the nation's largest privately-held home builder, has been evaluating suppliers since 2004 with its world-class Supplier Evaluation Platform.

Based on the idea that customer excellence is continuously earned, David Weekley Homes began its Supplier Evaluation Platform to measure performances in reliability, communication, timeliness, follow-through and other areas critical to the business relationship. At the heart of the process is the "National Trading Partner Survey," which is distributed through more than 1,000 of the company's cross-functional team members, ranging from top executives to accounting. The result of this rigorous process has been improved service, channel costs and a heightened degree of homeowner satisfaction.

“A company with Dow’s track record could become complacent with its customer base and lose its edge, but after another year has gone by, we see our friends at Dow have managed to stay on top yet again”

“A company with Dow’s track record could become complacent with its customer base and lose its edge, but after another year has gone by, we see our friends at Dow have managed to stay on top yet again,” said Bill Justus, vice president supply chain services for David Weekley Homes and chief architect behind the homebuilder's best in class evaluation system. “For 14 years, Dow has shown its standard is excellence and that continues to be validated by our raters who have continually affirmed the company as world-class in quality and service. Dow’s accomplishment is nothing short of amazing, remaining world-class for 14 straight years, through ever changing technology and market conditions. We have no other national relationship that has performed equal or better to our friends at Dow over this timeframe. If history is any indication, Dow will only continue to improve on its stellar customer experience over the next year.”

Dow's commitment to continuous improvements each year has enabled it to continue exceeding market demands. Led by its thermal, moisture, vapor and air solutions, Dow enables the industry to build better homes via products such as STYROFOAM™ Brand XPS, WEATHERMATE™ Brand Weatherization solutions, and GREAT STUFF™ Insulating Foam Sealants.

“At Dow, we are dedicated to delivering quality products and service to our customers – and being honored with this award for 14 consecutive years is a true testament to that dedication,” said Tom Evans, Americas Commercial Leader. “As we celebrate this achievement, we look forward to continuing to work with each of our customers and partners to raise the bar even higher on our mission toward excellence.”
