Reinventing the Airbag
The search to create a better airbag led DuPont to develop a renewably-sourced thermoplastic elastomer, DuPont™ Hytrel® RS. DuPont has long been committed to providing best-in-class vehicle safety systems, based on high-value and environmentally sustainable materials. Hytrel® RS matches the superior performance characteristics of previous iterations of Hytrel®, but contains a minimum of 35 percent renewable content by weight, derived from non-food biomass.
