Increasing product transparency
We are increassing access to information regarding the health, safety and regulatory profile of chemicals enables chemical selection in order to enable a more sustainable development.
The DuPont Mobility & Materials (M&M) business has made relevant product regulatory information available through a public online portal where users can easily review the regulatory criteria for a wide range of M&M products. Publishing this information allows for more informed materials selection processes and more robust suitability criteria profiles, at an early stage of product development. This contribution to transparency promotes a safer, more sustainable and efficient product development pipeline.
DuPont is also an active member in the Task Force Sustainability Information Exchange within PlasticsEurope hoping to support the next level of sustainability and digitization driven by the European Commission to ensure a sustainable future for the region.
DuPont Mobility & Materials developed MEGUM™ W 9500, a paint-like, heat reactive, water-based adhesive that establishes strong bonds between rubber and metal.
Our enhanced focus on the management and governance of SoC also inherently contributes to our Corporate Sustainability Goals for Safer by Design.
Our E&I Semiconductor Technologies site in Hsinchu, Taiwan, was recognized with the 2020 Green Chemistry Application and Innovation Award by the Taiwan Environmental Protection Agency for improvements in green chemistry processes.
