Liveo™ HCR in is being used in an innovative mask with respiratory protection and skincare benefits

Cellreturn – a reputable beauty and healthcare technology company based in South Korea – was frustrated by the performance of the elastomer it had been using in the design and production of its innovative CX9 portable LED mask, which provides respiratory protection and skincare benefits in a single device.

As a skin-contact mask innovator with ambitions to grow its presence in heavily regulated markets worldwide, Cellreturn needed a high-quality, medical-grade rubber it could rely on. In search of a new supplier after discovering its existing supplier’s silicone rubber was causing skin irritation, the company came to DuPont seeking a more application-suitable silicone elastomer.

The Liveo™ team assisted with the selection of effective medical-grade high-consistency silicone rubber (HCR) according to Cellreturn’s specifications, enabling Cellreturn to optimize the CX9 mask’s performance, register the device, and gain entry and acceptance in global medical device markets.

Dedicated to innovative silicone solutions for medical devices and healthcare products for more than 70 years, Liveo™ is investing in significantly expanding our elastomer capacity to address global growth trends in medical device markets. Through this investment, as well as our material science and our application and regulatory expertise, we help our customers grow and expand their product lines in new wearable and specialty medical device applications, such as the innovative CX9 mask.
