Ningbo, China - The residents of Hangzhou Bay, China were confronted with a tough situation. The local water treatment plant faced a significant challenge to maintain sustainable performance in terms of water process stability, filtrate quality, and yield. This was most difficult to achieve during the coldest months of the year, when temperatures plummeted to a low of ~5 degrees Celsius. The Hangfeng Water Treatment Plant implemented a cutting-edge membrane-based, multi-tech solution consisting of pre-treatment with T-Rack® 3.0 and Dizzer® XL 0.9 MB 80 WT*, followed by reverse osmosis with FilmTec™ Fortilife™ CR50 elements, to achieve a ~85% recovery of surface water. This multi-tech solution has proved to be highly reliable, leading to the desired outcome of sustainable performance.
