DuPont Water Solutions Wins IDA “Industry Technology and Innovation” Award
October 13, 2021 saw the conclusion of the IDA Water Reuse and Conservation conference in Rome at which DuPont Water Solutions was recognized with the “Industry Technology and Innovation Award” by the independent experts of the Water Reuse & Conservation Awards Committee.
Our Minimum Liquid Discharge solution for industrial water recycling was accoladed as an effective and efficient approach to industrial water recycling that is reducing the barriers for producers to sustainably conserve water resources.
The “Industry Technology and Innovation Award” is presented to recognize the outstanding performance of technology and equipment providers that have achieved disruptive advances in water reuse and conservation technology allowing for significant reduction in energy use, carbon footprint, and costs of alternative water supplies.
The award was received by our own Tina Arrowood and Veronica García Molina.
Veronica, who is a member of the IDA Technical Committee, was invited to moderate a panel on “Water Reuse and Industrial Water Needs: Meeting the Challenges and Opportunities” with a very diverse pool of panelists She also co-chaired an “Industrial Water Reuse & Recycling” technical session in which FilmTec™ Director™ presentation was clearly differentiated.
Tina participated in the “Smart Cities and Water Recycling: Building Resiliency” section, where she gave the keynote speech and explained the solutions we provide to enhance adoption and optimization of water re-use. She also introduced the development of a novel method for biofilm visualization on RO membranes - FilmTec™ Director™ Biofilm visualization tool, which captivated the audience. Tina also participated in a panel discussion with a presentation on “Saving More With More Savings”: Ultra-High Pressure Reverse Osmosis Systems Using Energy Recovery for Zero-Liquid Discharge."
Luigi Del Vecchio presented our paper on “Cooling Tower Blowdown Water Reuse: From ZLD to MLD” in the Industrial Water Reuse & Recycling technical session.
