DuPont™ AmberChrom™ CG161M Chromatography Resin

DuPont™ AmberChrom™ CG161 chromatography resins are macroporous polymeric resins for reversed phase HPLC.  These crosslinked DVB resins have a mean pore diameter of 150 Å as measured by N2 BET and are ideally suited for small peptides and oligonucleotides, as well as small molecule drugs. With high mechanical robustness and chemical resistance, these resins are excellent alternatives to reverse phase silica such as C18 silica.  AmberChrom™ CG161M is supplied in a slurry of 50% resin by volume in an 80/20 (v/v) mixture of water and ethanol.  Dry grade (DuPont™ AmberChrom™ CG161MD) is available upon request.

There are three product grades in the series:

DuPont™ AmberChrom™ CG161S:  The smallest of the CG161 resins, this product has a particle size range of
35 µm.  This is ideal for applications that need high resolution and can handle the higher pressure drop of the smaller particle size.  See Product Data Sheet for details.

• DuPont™ AmberChrom™ CG161M:  The mid-size range product with a mean particle diameter of 75 µm, DuPont recommends this grade as the starting point for most applications as it balances high resolution with moderate pressure drop. See Product Data Sheet for details.

DuPont™ AmberChrom™ CG161C:  This product has the largest diameter in the CG161 series, with a mean particle size of 120 µm.  Customers may turn to AmberChrom™ CG161C when their processes cannot tolerate the pressures of CG161M.  See Product Data Sheet for details.
