DuPont™ AmberChrom™ fine mesh anion exchange resins are microporous (gel) resins based on polystyrene crosslinked with DVB and functionalized with trimethylammonium chloride ligands. These ion exchange chromatography resins are used in the front-end of drug processes to help purify raw materials, adjust pH or desalt, remove surfactants from drug streams, and increase product purity and concentration in crude purifications. With its moderate crosslinking level, the AmberChrom™ 1x4 anion exchange series is an excellent choice for applications that need to process drugs and raw materials up to ~ 1400 Dalton molecular weight. There are four products in this series.
DuPont™ AmberChrom™ 1x4 20-50 Cl fine mesh resin has the largest particle size of the entire fine mesh family and sits at the boundary between traditional polystyrene/DVB ion exchange resins and the fine mesh products. This product is well-suited for processes that need slightly faster ion exchange kinetics than traditional resins or need to process viscous or high molecular weight with drugs with less backpressure than DuPont™ AmberChrom™ 1x4 50-100 Cl fine mesh resin. Screened with 20-50 mesh, particle size >300 µm. See Product Data Sheet for details.
