DuPont™ AmberChrom™ fine mesh cation exchange resins are microporous (gel) resins based on polystyrene crosslinked with divinylbenzene (DVB) and functionalized with sulfonic acid ligands. These ion exchange chromatography resins are used in the front-end of drug processes to help purify raw materials, adjust pH or desalt, remove surfactants from drug streams, and increase product purity and concentration in crude purifications. With its moderate crosslinking level, the AmberChrom™ 50Wx4 series is an ideal choice for applications that need to process drugs and raw materials up to ~ 1400 Dalton molecular weight. There are three products in this 50Wx4 fine mesh cation exchange series.
DuPont™ AmberChrom™ 50Wx4 100-200 H fine mesh resin has a mid-range particle size for processes that can tolerate a modest tradeoff of backpressure in exchange for faster kinetics. Screened with 100-200 mesh, approximate particle size range of 75-150 µm. See Product Data Sheet for details.
