DuPont™ AmberChrom™ fine mesh anion exchange resins are microporous (gel) resins based on polystyrene crosslinked with DVB and functionalized with trimethylammonium chloride ligands. These ion exchange chromatography resins are used in the front-end of drug processes to help purify raw materials, adjust pH or desalt, remove surfactants from drug streams, and increase product purity and concentration in crude purifications. With its high crosslinking level, the AmberChrom™ 1x8 series provides the tightest resin network of the DuPont™ AmberChrom™ fine mesh anion exchange products and is an ideal choice for applications that need to process drugs and raw materials smaller than ~1000 Dalton molecular weight with minimal swelling. There are three products in this series.
DuPont™ AmberChrom™ 1x8 200-400 Cl fine mesh resin has the smallest particle size of the series. This is an excellent choice for anion exchange processes that are willing to accept higher backpressure for faster kinetics. Screened with 200-400 mesh, approximate particle size range of 35-75 µm.
