DuPont™ AmberChrom™ fine mesh anion exchange resins are microporous (gel) resins based on polystyrene crosslinked with DVB and functionalized with trimethylammonium chloride ligands. These ion exchange chromatography resins are used in the front-end of drug processes to help purify raw materials, adjust pH or desalt, remove surfactants from drug streams, and increase product purity and concentration in crude purifications. With its high crosslinking level, the AmberChrom™ 1x8 series provides the tightest resin network of the DuPont™ AmberChrom™ fine mesh anion exchange products and is an ideal choice for applications that need to process drugs and raw materials smaller than ~1000 Dalton molecular weight with minimal swelling. There are three products in this series.
DuPont™ AmberChrom™ 1x8 100-200 Cl fine mesh resin has a mid-range particle size and is an excellent choice for anion exchange processes that can tolerate a modest increase of backpressure in exchange for faster kinetics. Screened with 100-200 mesh, approximate particle size range of 75-150 µm. See Product Data Sheet for details.
